Hello!

My name is Elizabeth (she/her). I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington. I'm also a registered Dance/Movement therapist. I've been working in the mental health field for 5 years and have worked in social services for over a decade. I am passionate about helping others to live their most joyful lives despite the difficulties the world throws at us. I was inspired to become a therapist when I was working with homeless youth and young adults. I saw the impact that complex trauma had on their lives and the ways that systems had failed them and wanted to be a part of supporting their mental health and the mental health of others. I am a queer cisgender white woman.

I value anti-oppressive work and strive to be affirming in my practice in all ways that I can, although I know I will sometimes make missteps. To me, this means educating myself both personally and professionally on social justice issues and having trusted colleagues and friends who hold me accountable to this work. Some of the frameworks I align with are Health at every size, queer affirming, neurodiversity affirming, disability justice, and intersectional anti-racism work.

When I'm not working I enjoy cuddling with my dogs, attending dance classes, spending time with friends, going on walks, crafting, or binge watching reality TV. Personal sustainability is important to me, and I take time off every few months to ensure that I am at my best to support my clients.
